Tim Tebow Delivers Warning to SEC Team After Upset Loss

After a hot start for the Tennessee Volunteers this season, Tim Tebow sees flashing red lights for the SEC schedule ahead.

Tennessee started the season 4-0 with three blowout wins and a solid performance against No. 18 Oklahoma, but fell to unranked Arkansas last week. Tennessee now enters an important stretch with games against Florida this week followed by a showdown against Alabama.

Tebow warned that the team would need to turn things back around for their slate of SEC games over the second half of the season, saying offensive success would not be as easy to accomplish.

“This team started so hot,” Tebow said in an appearance on SportsCenter on Saturday, via On3 . “Non-conference, they were dominating. 639 yards per game, but in-conference, yeah, you cut that by 300. That’s not the same team that’s been playing the last few weeks, and they’re just not on the same page.”

Tebow added that Tennessee looked disjointed on offense in last week's loss to Arkansas.

“What are we doing? Blockers just standing there not blocking," Tebow said. "How are you supposed to be successful when your team’s not on the same page?

“This is an offense that has so many gifts, but they’re not on the same page.”

The coming stretch will be critical for Tennessee, with the Volunteers projected in the bottom half of the bracket for the 12-team College Football Playoff field.
