ESPN's "College Gameday" is in Eugene, Oregon this weekend ahead of Saturday evening's primetime clash between No. 2 Ohio State and No. 3 Oregon.

As usual, analyst Pat McAfee was energized. Despite the 6am PST start, the eccentric personality was in full force in front of a massive Oregon crowd.

While highlighting the matchup, McAfee burst into the "Mighty Oregon" fight song. “This Orgeon team has been a buzzsaw, this Ohio State team has been a buzzsaw, all roads leading to Euguene," he prefaced. "And I can’t help but say HEYAYAYAY," commencing the song. When McAfee reached the "a little bit louder now" of Mighty Oregon, he proceeded to stand on his stool.

McAfee was undeterred even as he began to wobble in the air. Host Rece Davis and former coach Nick Saban grabbed his legs to prevent their fellow panelist from falling.

McAfee's bombastic personality continues to divide opinion amongst college football fans. Many were critical of his dramatic theatrics Saturday on X.

"This dude has way too much energy for 6 am lol," said one fan. "Why I stopped watching Gameday," added another. "******* is one hell of a drug," quipped one viewer.

Others were quick to praise the former NFL punter for giving. his all despite the early wake-up. "Classic Pat! Always knows how to kick off the day right!" one fan said. "McAfee rules….need to know what brand of coffee he drinks!" joked another.

"[I've] said this since he came on the show, Pat will be the new Lee Corso when he is gone and have the final pick when they do the games," a fan remarked.

Longtime GameDay analyst Corso was absent for the second consecutive week with an illness. Fellow panelist Kirk Herbstreit shared Corso's prediction for the featured matchup live on air .

“I talked to coach this week. I said, ‘Coach, you have your hands full. You have your first love Ohio State, and your favorite mascot. Who would you pick?’" Herbsreit said.

. “Should I say? I’m going to say it right now...He’s picking his first love, Ohio State . He’s picking his first love, his first love.” Ohio State are 3.5 road favorites in Saturday's showdown.

The Ducks are led by quarterback Heisman hopeful Dillon Gabriel. The senior transfer from Oklahoma is off to a hot start, throwing for 1449 yards and 11 touchdowns in his first five games.
