No. 1 Texas will face No. 18 Oklahoma in the Red River Rivalry in Week 7.

The intense rivalry matchup often lives up to the hype and there's no shortage of surprises. Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian reiterated this week that rankings and records do not matter in emotional games like this. Needless to say, it's a game you don't want to miss.

That's exactly why ESPN College GameDay analyst Kirk Herbstreit took it to extremes in order to make it to the Red River Rivalry on time.

Herbstreit recorded a portion of his live set from a convertible on an Oregon highway prior to flying to Dallas to cover Texas-Oklahoma.

It marks the first time Herbstreit has left the set early in order to go call a game.

The video quickly went viral and fans were curious why Herbstreit didn't just stay in Oregon and call the Ducks vs Ohio State game. No. 3 Oregon hosts No. 2 Ohio State in one of the most anticipated games of the year on Oct. 12 at 6:30 p.m. CT.

"Why doesn't he just stay and call the bigger game where he currently is, in Oregon?" one fan said .

Kickoff for Texas-Oklahoma is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. CT and will air on ABC.
