Will a city in <a href="https://retro1025.com/ixp/507/p/colorado-target-return-policy/">Colorado</a> be doing the same?</p><p>While no one seems to be talking about any name change for the city, it does seem like it's just a matter of time, if the trend continues.</p><p>Will this city be going back to its original name, in time to come?</p><p>In September of 2023, Mt. Evans became Mount Blue Sky after Arapahoe and Cheyenne Tribes of Colorado, as well as others, pushed for the change.</p><p>The wanting of a name change was due to John Evans (Colorado's second territorial governor) being recognized as being responsible for the <a href="https://www.nps.gov/sand/learn/historyculture/index.htm">Sand Creek Massacre</a> in November of 1864, where 150 women, children and elderly were killed.</p><h2>Will Evans, Colorado Be Changing Its Name?</h2><p>Evans, Colorado, in Weld County, was first established as "Stage," after Bill Stage who was a popular railroad brakeman. Stage became Evans, after John Evans, in late 1867, three years after the Sand Creek Massacre.</p><p>Again, no one seems to be talking about Evans going through [another] name change, its name does stand out when you consider that Mt.
