A new restaurant is coming to Willoughby, Ohio

A popular restaurant chain known for its chicken fingers is opening a new location in Willoughby next month.

Are you a fan of Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers? If the answer is yes, then you might want to know that the popular chain is opening a new restaurant in Willoughby at 5051 Som Center Road. According to the restaurant's Google listing and Raising Cane's website, the new Willoughby location is scheduled to have its grand opening on November 6.

Raising Cane's is a restaurant chain that was founded by Todd Graves, according to the restaurant chain's website. He came up with the restaurant concept for a college class, and his professor actually gave him a bad grade for it because according to the professor, the idea of a chicken-finger-only restaurant was doomed to fail. The banks also agreed with this assessment and refused to give Graves loans.

But eventually, Graves secured a loan, and he was able to open a restaurant that would eventually become a popular chain with over 500 locations, proving that college professor exceedingly wrong.

The restaurant chain borrows its name from Graves' yellow Labrador Retriever, who passed away at the age of 17 in 2016.

Besides the chain's famous chicken fingers (which are battered by hand and made with chicken that's marinated for 24 hours before being cooked to order), Raising Cane's also serves the restaurant's signature Cane sauce (which is made from a secret recipe with a blend of spices), crinkle-cut fries, Texas toast, coleslaw, and a chicken sandwich, which comes with 3 fingers, Cane's sauce, and lettuce.

As for beverages, the restaurant chain offers freshly made lemonade and sweet tea as well as unsweetened tea.

Raising Cane's offers combo meals as well as tailgate packs with 25, 50, 75, or 100 chicken fingers.
