Following No. 10 Clemson’s 49-14 win over Wake Forest on Saturday in Winston-Salem, N.C., Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney gave an injury update on Bryant Wesco.

The star freshman receiver missed Saturday’s game and did not travel to Winston-Salem.

“He rolled his ankle, so he wasn’t able to go,” Swinney said. “He is day to day, so hopefully we’ll get him back next week.”

Swinney said the injury occurred in Clemson’s win over Florida State last Saturday.

“In the game last week, he rolled it,” Swinney said. “I think it was on that two-minute drive where he tried to run to the sideline instead of just getting up the field. He played the whole game. He finished, but he was pretty sore the next day.”

Wesco caught four passes for 24 yards vs. FSU. In five games this season, the former five-star prospect from Texas has 11 catches for 262 yards and two touchdowns.
