Week 7 of the college football season has some big games with major College Football Playoff implications. One of those games is between the No. 9 Ole Miss Rebels and the No. 13 LSU Tigers.

In this huge SEC matchup, both teams have one loss this season. Another loss could jeopardize their playoff hopes. On the "Paul Finebaum Show," the SEC Network analyst believes that the losing team's playoff chances will be in serious jeopardy.

"I think the loser of this game is literally at the end of the plank," Finebaum said. "Here's why: Ole Miss still has to deal with a number of schools, including Georgia, later in the year, albeit at home. A loss for LSU, conference wise they're not in quite as bad of shape, but then they have Alabama at home. They have so many other difficult games."

Both teams also have difficult schedules down the stretch. The Rebels take on three currently ranked opponents, including LSU. That doesn't include a game against the Arkansas Razorbacks on the road, who just beat the No. 4 Tennessee Volunteers.

LSU, on the other hand, has four games against ranked opponents for the rest of the season. This also doesn't include a road game against Arkansas.

It won't be an easy path for either team to get back into the playoff race with a loss on Saturday.

Ole Miss will travel to face LSU on Saturday, airing on ABC at 7:30 p.m. ET.
