The Washington Commanders are gearing up for their toughest test of the season as they prepare to face the Baltimore Ravens in a pivotal Week 6 matchup. With the Ravens boasting the NFL’s top-ranked run defense, allowing just 60.4 rushing yards per game, the Commanders' offense will need to be firing on all cylinders to pull off the victory.

The Commanders stepped up in their win over the Cleveland Browns. Austin Ekeler and quarterback Jayden Daniels combined for 215 rushing yards and three touchdowns, keeping Washington’s offense balanced and explosive. However, the biggest question going into Sunday’s game is whether their top running back, Brian Robinson Jr., will be available.

Robinson, who leads the Commanders with 325 rushing yards on 73 carries, has been battling a knee injury for the past two weeks. He was limited in last week's game against Cleveland, where he rushed for 18 yards and two touchdowns on seven carries, but he hasn’t practiced this week, leaving his status for the Ravens matchup in doubt.

Head coach Dan Quinn mentioned the team will take their decision right up to game day before determining whether they will need to adjust their ground attack plans.

In the event Robinson can’t go, Washington is prepared. Ekeler, McNichols, and Daniels are ready to shoulder the workload. The Commanders' ability to establish the run will be crucial in balancing their offense and keeping the Ravens’ defense on its heels.

With Robinson’s availability uncertain, all eyes will be on the Commanders' backfield as they take on a Baltimore team known for its fierce run-stopping ability.
