Update On When Kenny Omega Could Return To The Ring

Last December, AEW wrestler and EVP Kenny Omega announced on social media he had been hospitalized, with it later confirmed he had been diagnosed with diverticulitis, which is the same illness that sidelined Brock Lesnar during his UFC career. And while Omega has since made several appearances on AEW television while waiting for surgery, he couldn’t compete. However, finally, in some good news, Omega’s close friend Kota Ibushi has revealed on Yuji Nagata’s YouTube channel that the Canadian should be able to return to the ring in two to three months.

40-year-old Omega was one of AEW’s first signings, and while his time with the company has been very memorable, he has sadly been forced to miss a significant amount of time due to injuries and suspension stemming from Brawl Out. Therefore, all that can be hoped for is that once he is finally medically cleared to return, he can have an extended run, allowing him to demonstrate why he was once considered by many to be the best pro wrestler in the world.
