Having missed most of 2023 due to a back injury, fans of Thunder Rosa had hoped the AEW star would have an extended spell without incident. However, the former NWA World Women’s Champions sadly revealed several weeks ago that she was again sidelined, this time with a concussion.

And while Dave Meltzer reported two weeks ago that she had been medically cleared, Rosa would put the journalist on blast via X for “ lying about my health. ” Yet, in some much-needed good news, she has now confirmed herself on Busted Open that she has been passed fit to return to the ring.

“I want to thank the AEW medical and everyone that was involved, I’m finally cleared. If you feel that you have a concussion, please go to your doctor. If you are an athlete, please let your coaches know that this is important.”

38-year-old Rosa broke into the business in 2014 and signed with Lucha Underground the following year, where she competed as Kobra Moon. From there, she would work for WOW and ROH, although her career really took off when she joined Billy Corgan’s NWA. This is because it opened the door for her work for AEW due to the NWA having a working relationship with the promotion, and after impressing Tony Khan so much, he bought out her contract, which rarely happens in pro wrestling.
