Clogs are the kind of shoe that offer versatility and are usually pretty comfortable. Whether they’re slipper clogs meant to be worn inside or they’re a rubbery type of clog that’s meant for everyday wear, it makes sense why they became so popular. Of course, Crocs are one of the most popular types of “clog” shoes and they can be a little on the expensive side. So, finding a good lookalike item can really make a difference, and Aldi’s upcoming clogs are a fraction of the price.
From Oct. 16 to Oct. 22, Aldi will be selling Crane Men's or Ladies' Warm Lined Clogs for only $7.99 in the Aldi Finds aisle of U.S. stores (while supplies last). They have a typical Croc-like design: a large, rubbery front portion with a rounded toe, “holes for breathability,” a slightly raised lip at the back near the heel, and a strap that can be flipped up or down. The fun addition here, though, is the thick furry lining inside the shoe.
This lining is made with a soft sherpa material and folds over the sides of the opening, creating a fun, furry cuff or hem of sorts. That might be why the strap is removable because it might not be able to flip up out of “Sport Mode” because the lining is in the way.
Aldi’s warm-lined clogs come in four colors, with two being women’s sizing and two being men’s. There’s a Ladies' Rose, which is a shiny or metallic pink with a cream sherpa lining. Then there’s a Ladies Cheetah/Beige, which is a beige shoe with a cheetah print lining. The women’s shoes come in size 7/8 and 9/10.
There’s also a Men's Black, which is a black shoe with a dark gray lining, and a Men's Navy, which is a shiny royal blue shoe with a blue camo lining. The men's shoes come in sizes 9/10 and 11/12.
As we mentioned before, these Aldi clogs are very similar to Crocs—specifically their Classic Lined Clog , which currently retail for $59.99 (though there are sometimes different colors or patterns on sale), and they have nearly the same design as Aldi’s clogs. The clog part of these shoes is made with Croc’s “innovative Croslite compound,” which is the rubbery-like material Crocs is best known for.
The furry lining has a sherpa look to it like Aldi’s, but it doesn’t fold over the shoe’s opening. Plus, the strap is not detachable.
While Crocs have a very unique material and the sherpa lining is a little different than Aldi’s style, $8 clogs are hard to pass up. So if you want a warm, furry Croc-like shoe that’s less than $10, Aldi’s Crane Warm Lined Clogs are worth checking out.
