NFL fines several Denver Broncos players over $30K after dominant Week 5 win vs. Raiders

The NFL is really starting to crack down on their disciplining, or lack thereof, on players doing things that they don't like. But, some of the things the players are doing, are definitely not worthy of the fines the players are receiving. And, that pertains to the Denver Broncos during their Week 5 win over the Las Vegas Raiders, too. Well, kind of.

There were three players who were fined for what they did on Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders, and none of them are players that you can say "This is pocket change for them," as they are all on lower contracts. I hate to pocket-watch like that, but some of these fines are outrageous.

According to the NFL's Football Operations website , three Broncos players were fined a total of around $30 thousand. John Franklin-Meyers, Malcolm Roach, and Michael Burton all received fines.

Franklin-Meyers' fine was pretty warranted, as he intentionally poked a Raiders player in the eyes. And, you just cannot do that. He was fined over $14 thousand.

Burton was fined over $7 thousand for an unnecessary roughness penalty, which was a blindside block. Roach was fined over $11 thousand for an unnecessary roughness penalty which was a late hit.

These are things that just are not worth the amount of money they are being fined. But, rules are rules. They are losing a lot of money by not following the rules. They will now prepare for the Los Angeles Chargers.
