    Don't discard your stale banana bread—give it new life with this delightful banana bread pudding recipe. It's a simple way to save your loaf from going to waste.


    Ingredients:

    - 3 cups diced stale banana bread

    - 2 cups milk

    - 2 cups sugar

    - 5 eggs

    - 2 tsp vanilla extract

    - 1 cup brown sugar

    - ¼ cup butter


    For the Whiskey Sauce:

    - 1 cup sugar

    - 1 egg

    - ¼ cup whiskey

    - ½ stick butter

    Instructions:

    1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.

    2. Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.

    3. Place the cubed bread into the pan, spreading it out evenly.

    4. In a bowl, combine milk, sugar, vanilla, and eggs. Mix until the sugar dissolves and the eggs are well incorporated.

    5. Evenly pour this mixture over the bread.

    6. Top with brown sugar and dot with butter.

    7. Bake for approximately 45 minutes or until the top is golden brown.

    8. Remove from the oven and allow to cool.

    For the Whiskey Sauce:

    1. If you prefer not to use whiskey, replace it with 1 tsp of vanilla, almond, or butter extract.

    2. Combine sugar, egg, and whiskey in a saucepan. Mix well.

    3. Add butter and warm the mixture over medium heat, stirring until the butter and sugar have melted.

    4. Drizzle the sauce over the pudding.

    Serve the pudding warm and keep any leftovers covered in the refrigerator.
