Angel Reese shared a controversial comment seen as a dig against Taylor Swift's fans -- and now is taking heat for it.

The Chicago Sky star spoke out about the singer's fans during an appearance on her "Unapologetically Angel" podcast with guest Kayla Nicole, the now ex-girlfriend of Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce. Nicole revealed that she has been subject to abuse from Swift's fans and avoids seeing Kelce in person due to the backlash.

The appearance led to some pushback, with some of Swift's fans claiming that Reese was unnecessarily stirring up drama over a long-ended relationship. Reese appeared to clap back, sharing a post on X that read "hating pays too."

The post drew controversy, with some of Swift's fans pushing back on Reese. Some accused her of using Nicole's past with Kelce as a way to drum up more drama.

"I can't believe am gonna defend Kayla..but regardless of her inner issues, you used her for clicks and engagement..set her up with weird questions for hate.. Enjoy your payment..but you're pathetic jealous unprofessional woman," a fan posted on X .

"Sad when you have to rely on hate instead of talent...I know a couple of women who sure don't. At least you're finally admitting it, ig," one person posted , sharing pictures of Swift and Caitlin Clark.

But the criticism went both ways, with some calling out Swift's fans for their role in the drama.

"Taylor Swift fan club attacking Angel Reese is funny as hell. That woman lives for the drama," a fan wrote on X . "Her game reflects it."
