College Football World Reacts to Oregon Player's Wild Ejection

The game between the No. 3 ranked Oregon Ducks and No. 2 ranked Ohio State Buckeyes has been wild, to say the least, through two quarters. We've seen multiple touchdowns and an ambitious onside kick.

This Big Ten matchup is ultimately delivering, as college football fans are loving every single bit of it. However, a ton of attention is on one Ducks player for his wild antics that led to an early ejection.

Midway through the second quarter, star wide receiver Traeshon Holden was caught on camera spitting in Buckeyes cornerback Davison Igbinosun's face.

Officials almost immediately ejected the 23-year-old wide receiver from the game. It's a brutal blow for Oregon, as he's one of the star players on the offense. However, there is no room in the game for those kinds of antics.

The college football world stormed X, formerly known as Twitter to voice their disdain for Holden's actions. Ranging from fans to professional athletes, everybody seems more than happy the Ducks star wide receiver was removed from the game.

"Traeshon Holden just got ejected for spitting on an Ohio state corner lmaoooo what are you doing?" Stated one fan .

Former Oregon defensive end Kayvon Thibodeaux chimed in, asking, "Bro what?"

"That's disgusting. Ejection was earned on that one," proclaimed one fan .

RedditCFB, a popular social media account , said, "TRAESHON HOLDEN EJECTED FOR SPITTING WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?"

"Holden you d******. Can't defend that," claimed a Ducks fan .

Immediately after being tossed from the game, Holden was seen slamming his helmet in the tunnel. He's clearly frustrated with the outcome. However, had he not spit in Igbinosun's face then he wouldn't have been ejected.

This is just a horrific look for the star wide out. He's the team's leading receiver through this season, as Holden has recorded 19 receptions, 274 receiving yards, and three touchdowns.

Head coach Dan Lanning will likely field questions about the incident during the postgame interview. Until then, the Ducks will focus on the second half of the game as they lead at halftime 22-21.

What did he expect would be the consequence for his action? Does he believe he is so important as to be beyond punishment? REALITY MUST GET HIS ATTENTION! There is NO PLACE IN THE SPORT where his actions would be overlooked. It is necessary that he understand how valuable he is and how his skill set is such that his not being with the team changes the overall performance of the team for the worse. Additionally, it should be made clear that his actions transgress the expectation of "The DUCKS," and those actions are outside ANY ACCEPTABLE ACTIONS within our society. And for that reason, HE SHOULD BE REALEASED FROM THE TEAM, AND UNIVERSITY FOR BEHAVIOR UNACCEPTABLE WITHIN OUR SOCIETY.
