Saturday’s SEC matchup between No. 9 Ole Miss and No. 13 LSU drew quite the crowd at Tiger Stadium, but former LSU basketball star Angel Reese was not part of it.

The 22-year-old starred for the Tigers women’s basketball team from 2022 to 2024, averaging 20.9 points, 14.4 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.9 steals and 1.3 blocks per game over 69 starts.

She was a two-time First Team All-SEC and SEC All-Defensive Team selection, a unanimous First Team All-American in 2023, a Second Team All-American in 2024 and the 2024 SEC Player of the Year.

And while she spent the 2024 WNBA season in Chicago as part of the Sky, Reese still has deep ties to LSU. She even admitted on X that she was suffering from some serious FOMO (fear of missing out) while watching the Ole Miss-LSU game, making several posts about how she wished she was there in person.

“D*** I miss LSU football games,” Reese stated.

“Like the stadium looks so lit. I need to go to a gameeee,” she said in a second tweet.

Many of the responses to Reese’s tweets encouraged her to attend Alabama-LSU game on Nov. 9, which will likely be one of the biggest games of the college football season with both teams expected to be ranked near the top 15.

A few others cited her track record of the team she supports winning blowouts when she’s in attendance as reason enough for her to make the trip to Tiger Stadium. Reese recently attended Baltimore Ravens and Chicago Bears games in back-to-back weeks, and both teams won by a combined score of 71-20.

“IT HAS TO BE BAMA!! Teams blowout when you show up, Angel I am BEGGING WE NEED THE W,” one fan tweeted .
