Burnsville Traffic Stop Results in Felony Drug Arrest

Tishomingo County Sheriff’s Department made a traffic stop on Thursday October 10th, 2024 that resulted in the arrest of a Memphis man in possession of multiple drugs and paraphernalia.

Charles Anthony Merryweather Jr. was arrested after a traffic stop on Hwy 72 near County Road 961 in Burnsville.

The Memphis man was charged with Felony Possession with Intent to Distribute after recovering approximately 12 grams of alleged Methamphetamine schedule II-controlled substance and approximately 350 grams of alleged Marijuana along with misdemeanor possession of Buprenorphine a schedule III-controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, according to Tishomingo County Sheriff's Department.

Bond had not been set, as of report time.
