‘The Constitution or TikTok?’ Actor Dennis Quaid Invokes Reagan, Tells Trump Rally ‘It’s Time To Pick a Side’ in America

Actor Dennis Quaid spoke at a rally for Republican nominee Donald Trump in Coachella, California on Saturday, during which the actor compared Trump to President Ronald Reagan , whom Quaid portrays in the new film “Reagan” from MJM Entertainment.

Quaid opened his remarks on Saturday by saying telling the MAGA audience that it is “time to pick a side” both in the election and on general political principles.

“Hello, everybody. God bless you. God bless America,” Quaid said. “I’m here today to tell you that it’s time to pick a side.”

The actor then specified what the choice is between.

“Are we going to be a nation that stands for the Constitution or for TikTok?” he said.

“Are we going to be a nation of law and order, or wide open borders?” he continued. “Which is it? Because it’s time to pick a side.”

Quaid then mentioned his role and compared Trump to Reagan.

“You know, I’m an actor and I just had this movie come out that’s, it was a famous last name: Reagan. My favorite president of the 20th century. And it’s amazing how the issues of the 1980 election are very similar to what they are today,” he said, and talked about issues such as inflation and the Iran Hostage crisis of the time period.

“We were a nation in decline. That’s what they told us. Ronald Reagan came along and said, no, we’re not a nation in decline. We’re going there. And we followed him.” Quaid said. “We’re going there. And we followed him. The same with Trump. With President Trump. My favorite president of the 21st century.”

Also at the rally, as a woman who reportedly heckled or protested Trump was being escorted out from behind the stage, Trump mocked her and suggested she’d get “ the hell knocked out of her ” by her parents when she got home.
