I skied there a few times in my early youth, it was a great starter(family ski) place and if you wanted to go and get some snow fun on a budget away from crowds in larger resorts. Sierra Ski Ranch(Sierra at Tahoe) was another "Before the Basin" smaller resort in southern Tahoe. For the northern "Outer Basin" ski area's of Boreal and Sugar Bowl were very accessible via I-80 freeway, then after a day on "The Slopes" you could take a short drive east up to Truckee for Grub/Drinks and possible last minute lodging🤔 Really great times. The changing weather patterns and less than desirable snowfall totals have put tremendous strain on Open Season for the ski resorts, so much so that some had to rely heavily on Artificial Snow Systems to keep some of the popular/profitable Ski Runs open.
