College Football World Praying for Travis Hunter Following Injury

The Colorado Buffaloes faced off against the No. 18 Kansas State Wildcats in college football Week 7. Late in the second quarter, the game has taken a somewhat concerning turn.

Two-way star Travis Hunter was shown walking to the locker room due to what was reported as a right shoulder injury. The Injury is believed to have occurred after Hunter caught a 14-yard pass from Shedeur Sanders and collided with Wildcats safety Daniel Cobbs. According to ESPN , Hunter asked for a sub after the hit and went to the locker room. He returned to the sideline again before going back into the locker room.

The incident had social media extremely worried about the Heisman frontrunner.

"Pray for Travis Hunter," wrote one fan.

"College football needs Travis Hunter to be okay. I’d hate to see his college career end on injuries," added another.

"Prayers out for the young man as well. Get him on a snap count going forward," commented another.

"Hope Travis hunter injury isn't serious. They can't afford this again," chimed in another user.

Before going down with the injury, Hunter had three catches for 26 yards and one tackle. According to 247Sports ' Adam Munsterteiger, Hunter is "questionable" to return to the game. The broadcast has since shown him on the sidelines without a helmet.

Hunter missed three games in 2023 after suffering from a lacerated liver. He also missed four games in 2022 during his freshman season at Jackson State. The severity of this injury is unclear, but it would be devastating to the sport if he is forced to miss time again.
