College football top 25 rankings for Week 8: Texas, Oregon, Penn State lead remaining unbeaten teams

A total of 11 unbeaten teams are left as the 2024 college football team enters its second half.

That includes eight Power 4 schools. Texas (6-0) solidified its spot at No. 1 in Week 7 with a 34-3 victory against Oklahoma . The Longhorns are the lone unbeaten team left in the SEC, and that record will be put to the test against Georgia in Week 5.

The Big Ten holds the next two spots after a thrilling weekend on the West Coast. Oregon (6-0) beat Ohio State 32-31 in a battle of unbeaten teams Penn State (6-0) beat USC 33-30, and the Nittany Lions moved up to No. 3 as a result.

Who else is still undefeated? No. 15 Indiana (6-0) is the third team in the Big Ten – the only conference with three unbeaten teams left. No. 4 Miami (6-0) also had a bye, and No. 16 Pitt (6-0) also has not lost in the ACC. No. 9 Iowa State (6-0) and No. 10 BYU (6-0) are surprising teams in the Big 12.

The Group of 5 has three remaining undefeated teams in No. 23 Navy (5-0), No. 25 Army (6-0) and Liberty. All three of those teams are chasing No. 18 Boise State (5-1) for the automatic playoff berth.
