With all the excitement surrounding football and baseball games this weekend, the California Highway Patrol (CHP) in Fresno is urging sports fans to prioritize safety while celebrating.

In a message posted on social media, Fresno CHP encouraged fans attending games, tailgating, or hosting watch parties to avoid drinking and driving. "Make the winning play and designate a sober driver or use a ride-share service," the post advised.

CHP officers will be out in force throughout the weekend to ensure that everyone gets home safely. “We’re on your team, so let’s make a game-winning play to be safe!” they added.

Whether cheering on your favorite team at a local bar or enjoying the games at home, Fresno CHP reminds everyone to celebrate responsibly and help keep the roads safe for everyone.
