Former Alabama Standout Traeshon Holden Was Ejected For Spitting on Ohio State Player

In arguably the biggest game of college football's Week 7 slate, former Alabama star Traeshon Holden saw his day end early.

Holden is a member of the No. 3 Oregon Ducks squad that was hosting the No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes in a clash of the Big Ten elites. The Ducks ended up winning 32-31 after a late blunder by Ohio State quarterback Will Howard.

However, Holden was sent packing in the second quarter after he spit in the face of Ohio State corner Davison Igbinosun, which occurred after the two were exchanging pleasantries.

After the incident, Holden was taken to the locker room, but not without causing a scene. The former four-star recruit spent two seasons at Alabama before transferring to Oregon prior to 2023 and was shown throwing his helmet in the tunnel leading up to the locker room.

The penalty on Holden actually pushed Oregon back a bit, and the offense ended up settling for a field goal. While it ultimately didn't cost them the game, it certainly would have been a brutal loss had they not scored on that drive.

It's unclear if there will be a punishment for Holden from the team or Big Ten.
