Ohio State suffered a close 32-31 loss in Week 7 to Oregon that ended their perfect season to date . A back and forth game with both teams putting up numbers on the offensive side of the football.

The Buckeyes gave up 496 yards of offense on a tough night for the defense and it was too much to overcome in the end. In the passing game alone, the Buckeyes surrendered 341 yards. It was a night to forget for Denzel Burke and the cornerback group to forget overall.

One future member of the Ohio State secondary sent a message to Buckeye Nation following the result of the game. Five-star cornerback commit Devin Sanchez took to X (Twitter) to say that he is just a few months away.

Sanchez, along with Na’eem Offord, gives the Buckeyes two five-star talents in the current class that are set to arrive in Columbus for next season. Still, that will not help the Buckeyes this season with the high expectations that they have.

“This one is gonna hurt. It does hurt,” head coach Ryan Day said after the Big Ten loss on the road . “ (We) should have won the game. Give Oregon credit. They played well. Too many things we could have done better in the game that we didn't. A lot of football ahead of us. We’ve got to get those things fixed.”

The Buckeyes led 28-22 heading into the fourth quarter and had a chance to win the game with one final offensive drive. While driving the football, quarterback Will Howard attempted to slide just as time expired in Oregon territory. Ohio State was unable to call a timeout before the clock struck zero.

It was a game where the Buckeyes walked away likely feeling like they beat themselves more than anything. In the grand scheme of things, that does not matter at all. With the expanded College Football Playoff, one loss is not going to hurt the Buckeyes a ton. Still, it should raise the urgency around the program a ton for the current season.

What a biased article. Did you watch the game? Oregon was robbed of an Interception which led to points. They muffed a PAT, missed a field goal. OSU got beat. Oregon left points on the board numerous times, including the idiotic spitting foul. But Ryan Day is a sore loser who got outcoached. This article is trash
