Kareem Hunt 'Having A Blast' In Second Stint With Chiefs

They say when one door closes, another opens, and the door of opportunity swung open for Kareem Hunt when the Kansas City Chiefs called.

With running back Isiah Pacheco down with a fractured fibula that required surgery and ruled him out for at least six weeks, the Chiefs needed another running back—enter Hunt.

After spending his first two years with the Chiefs (2017, 2018), Hunt moved to the Cleveland Browns for the next five seasons before reuniting with the team that drafted him.

And he's turning heads while having a lot of fun.

“I'm having a blast out there man, it's so much fun,” Hunt said . “I missed it so much and coach Reid does a great job of putting us in great situations to be successful.”

Hunt has been steadily ramping up since signing with the Chiefs, and in his two games, we are starting to see him hit his stride.

Against the Los Angeles Chargers, Hunt had 14 carries for 69 yards before being the bell cow against the New Orleans Saints, with 27 carries for 102 yards and his first rushing touchdown since 2018 with the Chiefs.

Hunt's performances have been so impressive that the Chiefs' run game has been a constant source of quality production, and it shows no signs of slowing down.

The 139 total rushing yards against the Saints were Kansas City's second-highest of the season, suggesting that the loss of Pacheco isn't being felt as much as some might have thought.

In his second stint with the Chiefs, Hunt has picked up where he left off back in 2018 and he's having a lot of fun doing it.
