It's absolutely heartbreaking to think about everything that rescue dogs go through before they find their forever families and homes, but because of that, there are few things more rewarding than seeing what finally finding that family can do for them. In many cases, it results in a huge, positive change that never could have happened for the pup otherwise, and it even saves lives in the process — not to mention the fact that every dog who is adopted makes room for another to be sheltered.

It's videos like this one from TikTok that remind me just how important it is to rescue a dog when you can. This sweet Dalmatian mix looked so sad in the beginning of this video, and through the clips here, we can see that he made a full transformation by the end of it!

Dog mom @jennat0b shared this video on TikTok, showing the journey that her Dalmatian mix dog, Cash, made from their adoption to the home he lives in with her and her other rescue dog, Luci.

At the beginning of the video, poor Cash is sitting on a cot inside a kennel, looking as sad as can be — it's no wonder that she ended up taking him home, because even that short clip is so heartbreaking.

"There was no way I could leave these little peanut at the shelter," she wrote in her caption.

After coming home with his new mom and getting used to his new life, Cash transformed. He was happy, he was playing, and it was very clear that he felt so very loved. And that includes his sister, Luci, who he can be seen playing tug of war with in the video!

It's safe to say that he loves his new home — just as it should be.

    About Operation Kindness

In the caption, Cash's mom shared that she adopted both of her dogs through Operation Kindness , which is an awesome shelter in Texas if you happen to be local (or able to travel).

According to their official website, the no-kill shelter saves about 5,000 pets per year, and they have some amazing facilities available on site, like an animal hospital and even a neonatal kitten nursery.

They also provide affordable veterinary care for people all over Texas, offer disaster support services, and more — it's truly an incredible mission they have.

If you're interested in adopting from the organization, you can check out their adoptable dogs and cats here .

Here's hoping they all end up with loving homes like Cash did soon enough. That's what every animal deserves!
