Parker Kligerman Absolutely Livid at Charlotte Roval for Unexpected Issue

Parker Kligerman was so close to earning his first career NASCAR Xfinity Series victory at the Charlotte Roval on Saturday but came up short when officials put out a caution just feet before the No. 48 took the checkered flag.

After finishing sixth following the overtime restart, the veteran driver was understandably disappointed in his post-race interviews.

Interestingly, the emotion the 34-year-old expressed after the race was dramatically different than how he was feeling before and during the race. Earlier in the day after a lackluster qualifying effort, the driver showed his frustration by slamming his fist on the roof of his car. It was a pre-cursor of things to come.

During the race with 15 laps to go, the driver was experiencing radio issues and his team couldn't hear him.

"Is the other radio on, guys?" crew chief Patrick Donahue asked . "Did we turn the other radio on?"

Moments later when a caution came out, the driver had a break from the action and tried communicating with his team.

"The front's totally flat spotted," Kligerman said about his tires. "I gotta figure out this f****** radio. God******!

"Turn the other radio on and flip the switch," Donahue recommended.

"Alright, talk to me," the driver said. "This radio's totally f*****."

"Did you go to the second radio, Parker?" the crew chief inquired again. "Turn the other one on and flip the switch."

    "Got me here?" Kligerman wondered.

"Yeah, we got you. Better," his team told him.

"Yeah, the other one turned itself to a 1000 and it won't figure it out," the pilot said. "Sorry to scream at you, but that radio went to like smack blast when you guys were talking."

The team corrected the radio issues and had clear communication with the driver through the end of the race, including a final painful transmission after coming up short.

"I want to cry, but I'm not gonna," Kligerman admitted.

Would have been nice to throw the caution before the leaders even came upon the car stuck in the tire barrier, or waited until the leader took the white flag

it's like NASCAR wakes up every morning and the first thought they have is "Okay, what can we do today to piss off the few fans we have left?".
