Despite Oregon defeating Ohio State in Week 7, they stood still at No. 8, while the Buckeyes were idle at No. 2. The only difference in the top 10 from Week 7 to Week 8 was Tennessee getting bumped to No. 7 and Notre Dame taking their spot at No. 6, seemingly swapping places after their performances.
Many fans have taken offense to the Ducks' ranking at No. 8, but they were also vocal about Ole Miss being listed at No. 5, despite falling to LSU as the favorite in Week 7.
Some of the biggest risers and fallers are Missouri, which moved from No. 22 to No. 19 after dominating UMass 45-3, and Boise State, which fell from No. 20 to No. 22 after defeating Hawaii 28-7.
Fans didn't mince words when reacting to these ESPN FPI rankings.
"What did you guys use to make this?!?! USC is ranked to high, Oregon needs to be #1, Indiana to high, Oklahoma needs to drop out," explained one fan.
"Oregon being 8th is pretty crazy," said one fan.
"BYU has the 2nd best resume, and yet the FPI doesn't rank BYU, but ranks Arkansas. Heavy SEC bias," said another fan.
"Oregon at 8," mentioned one fan with a laughing emoji.
"How do these get worse every week," commented one fan.
"Ole Piss at 5," said one fan with a laughing emoji.
