Packers Star's Father Gets Into Heated Online Exchange With 'Fantasy' Doctor Over Injury

Packers fans know that rooting for receiver Christian Watson can be a struggle. His speed and talent are obvious, but so is proclivity for injuries. Last year, and during his rookie year, it was his hamstring. He played only 23 games in his first two years because of hamstring injuries.

Now, the problem is his ankle, an injury that kept him out for the Packers' Week 5 win over the Rams. Watson returned to practice this week and is listed as questionable for the Packers. He figures to be a game-time decision.

Which is surprising news for Dr. Jesse Morse, who has built up quite a side business weighing in on player injuries in the context of helping fantasy sports players make better decisions.

Dr. Morse runs The Injury Expertz website and his bio on Twitter/X reads, "Board Certified Family & Sports Medicine physician. Regenerative Medicine (PRP, Stem Cell) expert. The Fantasy Doc."

When Watson first injured his ankle, Dr. Morse--in a since-deleted Twitter/X post--diagnosed the problem as a high ankle sprain, which can require a lengthy recovery. But one user responded to him that he had the wrong diagnosis.

The user, Tazim Wajid Wajed , wrote, "FYI, it WAS NOT a high ankle sprain. That was just what they initially thought it was. He’s pacing to expectation for what he has!"

To which, Morse responded, "I watched the video, yes, it was."

"So you think watching a video precludes the actual MRI and the doctors reading it?" Wajed wrote.

It was probably around that time that Morse did a quick search of Wajed and realized that he is theone-time NFL player who formerly went by the name, Tim Watson. In other words, he's Christian Watson's father.

Not long after that, the post suggesting Watson had a high ankle sprain was deleted.
