Wednesday Addams isn’t messing around.
Jenna Ortega told fans to stop participating in a viral TikTok trend that involves mistreating “Wednesday” dolls.
Recent videos have shown people coming across dolls of Ortega’s character in the hit Netflix series that are being sold in stores, and turning their hair behind their head so the dolls look like they are bald.
In one video, there are over a dozen Wednesday Addams dolls sitting on a display in a store after being turned bald.
The series , created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, follows Gomez and Morticia Addams’ teenage daughter enrolling at Nevermore Academy, where she is thrust into solving a murder.
Ortega told the Times UK last year that she was initially unsure about signing onto the comedy horror series because she wanted to focus more on her film career.
“I got the email, passed on it,” the “Scream VI” star said. “I had done so much TV in my life. All I’ve ever wanted to do is film.”
However, she said she changed her mind because of Tim Burton, who produces the series. The pair have since worked together on the “Beetlejuice” sequel .
In an interview with Vanity Fair in August, Ortega teased that “Wednesday” Season 2 will feature more “horror.”
“Not to say that suddenly we’re the goriest show of all time,” she clarified. “I mean, there’s six-year-olds watching. We’re doing this thing now where Wednesday just kind of appears . She is a little bit of a jump scare herself.”
