Troll Rex Ryan Bold ESPN Prediction: Cowboys 'Will Get Your Ass Kicked!'

    By Mike Fisher,

ARLINGTON - If it is rational and measured analysis you're looking for as the Dallas Cowboys are set to take on the Detroit Lions in Week 6 here today at AT&T Stadium , Rex Ryan of ESPN is not your guy.

The Cowboys enter this game with a 3-2 record, and while they are coming off two straight wins - both on the road, at the New York Giants and then at the Pittsburgh Steelers - they are underdogs here to the Lions, who enter with a 3-1 record and are fresh as they are coming off a bye.

In a recent-history rarity, an opposing team is favored in this building, as it's Lions the oddsmakers' pick, by three points.

That is reason enough to think the Cowboys are in danger of losing - and maybe there would be no particular shame in that as they battle through injuries (arguably their best player, Micah Parsons, is out today with an ankle problem) and as they battle a quality Lions squad.

So, deposed NFL head coach Ryan, what is your deep-thinking analysis?

"Get ready to get your ass kicked today," Ryan said in a message of sorts to Dallas.

Ryan may be a bit bitter because he wanted to be more seriously considered by Cowboys owner Jerry Jones for the defensive coordinator job that went to Mike Zimmer. Rather insanely, Ryan has boasted that he would've upgraded this defense "in a New York minute.''

Here, Ryan's analysis is mostly about "revenge.''

"Detroit's going to give a little revenge on you and bloody your dang nose all day today, Dallas,'' he said on the air.

These two teams squared off late in the 2023 season, and the Cowboys won by a single point amid controversy and officiating confusion as the Lions' two-point conversion attempt was unsuccessful.

And so many the Lions are seeking revenge against the Cowboys in the way they'll play. Or, maybe, Ryan - still out of work as a coach - is seeking revenge against the Cowboys in the way they hired their staff.

Rex Ryan was right. Not only did Dallas get their Azz kicked, but they got embarrassed on national TV. Hey Jerry Jones, Happy Birthday 🎂 🥳 🤣🤣🤣🤣
