The clock is ticking for individuals to request a portion of the $115 million settlement fund Oracle has agreed to pay, resolving claims that it violated privacy by selling personal data to third parties. The deadline to file a claim in this class-action settlement is Thursday, Oct. 17, at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time.

The lawsuit accuses Oracle, a major U.S. tech company, of collecting and selling the personal information of "hundreds of millions of people" without their consent, including data like search history, purchases, and locations. Although Oracle denies any wrongdoing, the company agreed to settle the case with a $115 million payout.

U.S. residents impacted by Oracle's advertising technologies or products since August 2018 are eligible to file a claim. Even if you haven't been notified, you can submit your information to see if you qualify for compensation, which will be distributed via prepaid debit card, direct deposit, Venmo, or Zelle, pending final court approval.
