Northern California is in for a warming trend starting today and lasting through Tuesday, according to the latest weather forecast. After experiencing cooler temperatures, especially in the North Bay, conditions are expected to return to near seasonal averages.

Today, temperatures across the interior are projected to reach the upper 70s to low 80s, while San Francisco and the Bay Shoreline will see highs in the low to mid-70s. Coastal areas may remain shrouded in low cloud cover and could miss out on sunshine entirely. Tonight, temperatures are expected to drop into the low to upper 50s, with a possibility of light drizzle in coastal regions and favored upslope areas.

Looking ahead to the week, temperatures will remain near normal until Wednesday, when an upper-level trough approaches the coast, bringing potential rain showers. However, recent forecasts indicate that measurable rainfall may be limited, primarily affecting the North Bay with little expected south of the Golden Gate.

As the week progresses, temperatures are likely to rise again, reaching the upper 70s to low 80s by late week. This warming trend may coincide with an offshore flow pattern, particularly in the North Bay and East Bay hills, raising concerns about elevated fire weather conditions.
