    Ingredients

    For the Mac and Cheese:
    • 8 ounces elbow macaroni (or your favorite pasta)
    • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
    • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
    • 2 cups whole milk
    • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
    • 1 cup shredded Gruyère cheese
    • 1 cup cooked lobster meat, chopped
    • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
    • Salt and pepper to taste
    • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (for topping)

    For the Breadcrumb Topping:
    • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (panko for extra crunch is recommended)
    • 1 tablespoon melted butter
    • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
    • Salt and pepper to taste

    Directions

To begin, cook the macaroni according to the package instructions until al dente. Once cooked, drain the pasta and set it aside. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.

After the butter is melted, whisk in the flour and cook for about 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly to create a roux. Gradually add the milk while continuing to whisk to avoid lumps, cooking until the mixture thickens and bubbles, which should take about 5-7 minutes.

Once the sauce is thickened, reduce the heat to low and stir in the shredded cheddar and Gruyère cheeses, mixing until they are melted and smooth. Add the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Gently fold in the chopped lobster meat until well combined.

Next, add the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce, stirring until the pasta is evenly coated.

For the breadcrumb topping, combine the breadcrumbs, melted butter, paprika, and a pinch of salt and pepper in a small bowl, mixing until the breadcrumbs are evenly coated.

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Transfer the mac and cheese mixture to a greased baking dish and sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture evenly over the top, finishing with a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.

Once done, remove the lobster mac and cheese from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your indulgent dish!
