NFL officials in Titans vs. Colts miss the most blatant pass interference ever

NFL officiating can be very inconsistent, and that's putting it nicely. We saw a perfect example of this during the Tennessee Titans ' Week 6 game against the Indianapolis Colts at Nissan Stadium in Nashville on Sunday.

During the fourth quarter with the Titans trailing by three and facing a third-and-10 from their own 30-yard line, quarterback Will Levis threw a pass to wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins.

The pass was ultimately incomplete, but not before Hopkins was heavily interfered with by Colts cornerback Jaylon Jones, who clearly made early contact with the receiver before the ball got there, impeding his ability to catch the football.

Even former NFL official and CBS Sports rules analyst Gene Steratore was of the opinion that it should have been a pass interference.

Instead of the Titans getting a fresh set of downs and continuing their drive, they were forced to punt. Head coach Brian Callahan was, as you'd expect, red hot after his receiver didn't get the flag.

The Titans are no strangers to questionable calls from officials over the years, but you can say that about most, if not all teams in the NFL, although some people out there would beg to differ when it comes to the Kansas City Chiefs, but that's a story for another day.
