Fans were a little surprised when Reese Witherspoon shared her latest update on social media, as the actress revealed a special childhood photo of herself looking a lot different than she does now.

Witherspoon paid tribute to her older brother John on his birthday, deciding to post a throwback of the two in honor of the big day. She shared a photo from when Witherspoon appeared to be just a toddler, with a cute white dress and bright blonde hair. John sat behind his sister with a smile on his face, the two siblings looking at a children's book together.

At first glance, it's hard to tell that this is Witherspoon, as the poufy hair and vintage style of the picture could throw some people off. But after looking a little closer, it's easy to spot Witherspoon's bright eyes and cute features on the toddler's face as she stares at the camera.

To help fans out, the Morning Show star also shared another snap of herself and John taken recently, with Witherspoon posing with her arm around her brother's shoulders.

She wrote in the caption, "That’s my brother. He’s my rock. 🩵 Happy Birthday John!" John turned 52 years old.

Fans shared birthday wishes for John, while also complimenting Witherspoon on the sweet family photos.
