Nick Sirianni Called Out for Late-Game Actions Against Browns

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni had some words for his home crowd after his team sealed a 20-16 victory against the lowly Cleveland Browns.

The Eagles moved to 3-2 with the victory, which wasn't pretty but got the job done. Philadelphia collected 372 yards of offense in the win and sealed the victory with a 40-yard connection between Jalen Hurts and AJ Brown.

Sirianni had been under fire for the Eagles' slow start to the season but was feeling good after climbing back above .500. As the final seconds ticked off the clock, Fox cameras captured the Eagles’ head coach barking at fans in the crowd, clearly fired up after the win.

Most were not a big fan of Sirianni's actions, considering the Browns have been one of the worst teams in the league and historically bad on the offensive side of the ball.

"He need to chill. This game shouldn’t have been so close," one fan said.

"This is the last thing he should have been doing," another said. "No wonder why the players do not take him seriously."

The Eagles' victory wasn't without its flaws. While they maintained control late in the first half, a blocked field goal returned for a touchdown allowed the Browns to claw their way back into the game.

"Talking to the fans that quite literally help you keep your job talking after barely winning vs one of the worst teams at home after a bye week," one Sirianni critic said . "I hate Eagles fans but I can see why they don’t like him. He quite literally offers nothing."

A win is a win, and the Eagles will try to carry their momentum into next week’s NFC East showdown against the New York Giants.

This win was a confidence builder. Focus on beating the Giants. Do that successfully, you’ll build your confidence even further, one game at a time.
