    NYC is hiring poll workers: Here’s how much you can earn

    NEW YORK (PIX11) — With Election Day just a few weeks away, the City of New York Board of Elections is looking to hire poll workers.

    The salary for poll workers is $250 to work on Election Day and a stipend for attending a training class and passing an exam.

    Positions available include election inspectors, interpreters, and 17-year-old poll workers. Election inspectors must be registered voters living in New York City.

    Interpreters must be U.S. residents 18 and older who live in New York City but do not need to be registered voters.

    Spanish interpreters are needed in all five boroughs. Chinese interpreters are needed in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens.
