Despite going into the fourth quarter of Sunday’s Week 6 game against the Indianapolis Colts with a lead, the Tennessee Titans ultimately fell 20-17. Following the game, one of their top players didn’t exactly hold back with his criticism of the gameplan.

While he was Tennessee’s leading receiver going into the game, Calvin Ridley caught no passes in the loss to the Colts. It wasn’t entirely for a lack of trying, though, as Ridley was targeted eight times. Ridley was asked about that following the game and made his frustration well known.

“They wanted to make getting you targets and part of this offense a priority today and to have it not result in any catches, what was kind of off that resulted in targets but no catches?” Ridley was asked.

“I had targets — in what part of the game did I have targets?” Ridley replied. He was then told that a lot of the targets came in the fourth quarter, which brought Ridley to his main point.

“Alright then,” he said. “So, s***, I need some in the beginning of the f****** game too, then. S*** is getting f****** crazy for me.”

Ridley quickly noted that he didn’t play well enough but reiterated his point that the targets need to be more evenly distributed.

“I just — you know, it is what it is — I sucked today,” he said. “I gotta be better. But I gotta get the ball a little earlier in the game so I can be in the game and here with the team so I can play well, also.”
