SHREVEPORT, La. ( KTAL/KMSS ) – Caddo Parish Sheriff Henry Whitehorn, Sr. has announced that a man who was wanted for murder in Michigan is now behind bars after deputies acted quickly on the afternoon of Sat., Oct. 12.

There were multiple warrants out for Carlos Jose Hernandez, 37, including an Ohio warrant for armed robbery and a warrant connected to a homicide in Michigan.

Around 4:00 p.m. on Oct. 12, deputies headed for I-49 and watched for a vehicle that matched the description given to them by authorities outside of Shreveport.

CPSO Deputy Michael Rocco then conducted a traffic stop near the junction of I-49 and Louisiana Highway 169. Hernandez was apprehended during the traffic stop and arrested without incident.
