Seiya Tsutsumi became the new WBA bantamweight world champion in Tokyo early Sunday morning, besting Takuma Inoue.

Tsutsumi swept the scorecards from the judges by totals of 114-113, 115-112 and 117-110 from inside the Ariake Arena. The card, which streamed live on ESPN +, was the first of back-to-back events from Tokyo featuring numerous title fights.

With the win, Tsutsumi improved to 12-0-2 in his career as the 28-year-old captured his first world title. Inoue, the brother of undisputed junior featherweight champion Naoya Inoue, was making his first title defense and dropped to 20-2 overall.

During the second of the two events on Monday morning, Junto Nakatani defends his WBC title against Petch Sor Chitpattana. Should he be victorious, the two could be on a collision course for 2025.

Kenshiro Teraji stopped Cristofer Rosales to win the WBC flyweight title and become a two-weight class champion. Teraji improved to 24-1 and earned his 15th career knockout with the victory.

Shokichi Iwata stopped Jairo Noriega for the WBO junior flyweight title in the third round.
