'Boo!' Many Cowboys Fans Saying the Same Thing About Lions Halftime Blowout

ARLINGTON - Once again, the Dallas Cowboys are finding themselves on the wrong side of a blowout in the confines of AT&T Stadium. The Detroit Lions faced little resistance in the first 30 minutes of this NFL Week 6 matchup on national TV, the visitors taking a 24-3 lead into halftime.

Similar to their first two games at home this season, the Cowboys' defense spent most of the half on its heels while the offense sputtered with significant errors and an inability to execute on red-zone chances.

Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb connected for 27 yards at the start of the game's opening drive. Dallas would move inside the Detroit 20, but would settle for a Brandon Aubrey field goal, taking a 3-0 lead.

That advantage went a away quickly. On a third down, Jared Goff hit Tim Patrick for a 42-yard gain on the right side. Going back to the ground, the Lions turned to David Montgomery who bulldozed through the Dallas defense for a 16-yard score.

The Cowboys looked ready to respond, getting deep into Detroit territory for a second straight time. However, similar to one of his mistakes last week, Prescott floated an a ball to the left corner of the end zone intended for Lamb. But Brian Branch pivoted from his coverage and picked off the pass.

The Lions would threaten, but settle for a field goal to take a 10-3 at the start of the second quarter. On the Cowboys next possession, their offensive mojo came to a screeching halt. Dallas ran three plays before a punt, setting up the Lions with solid field position again.

Goff would find Sam Laporta on a clever trick play and he rumbled into the end zone for a 52-yard touchdown. Forcing another three-and-out, the Lions added another field goal and led 20-3.

Desperately needing a spark, the Cowboys were quickly forced into a fourth down after three plays and failed to convert a pass intended for KaVonte Turpin.

Set up in Dallas territory, the Lions moved the ball to the one where Montgomery punched in his second touchdown. Detroit took a 27-3 lead from there.

A big Turpin return set up the Cowboys on the Lions' side of the field, where they would post another field goal to make the score 27-6. ... leaving many of the fans here at AT&T Stadium saying the same thing on owner Jerry Jones' 82nd birthday.

    That "same thing''? "Boo!''

Jones is screwing up this team mentally, emotionally, and probably spiritually. This team is so damb dysfunctional. It starts at the top, the total control. Shyt the coaches are coaches only by name. Jones is calling the bingo numbers. Fire yourself and your son and allow the coaches to actually do thier jobs.
