ESPN commentator Shannon Sharpe called out Oregon wide receiver Traeshon Holden for his antics in the Ducks' 32-21 win over Ohio State on Saturday night.

The former Alabama transfer entered the game as the team's third leading receiver with 20 receptions for 306 yards and three touchdowns. Holden ultimately took himself out of the game entirely in the second quarter while Oregon was threatening the Ohio State end zone down 14-12.

After making contact with Buckeyes cornerback Davison Igbinosun on a routine run play, officials flagged Holden for flagrant unsportsmanlike conduct. It was unclear why the senior was flagged before the NBC broadcast replay showed Holden spitting in Igbinosun's face after the play.

Holden was ejected from the game.

It's an extremely rare occurrence for a player to be ejected for spitting on an opponent. Holden's mistake costed not only himself, but also the Oregon offense. Star quarterback Dillon Gabriel was without one of his top options for the remainder of the game.

"It would have took an act of God and 10,000 soldiers to get me off his (Holden's) a**," Sharpe said on "Night Cap."

"Please don't do that," he continued. "Man, that is one of the most disrespectful acts that you can do."

Lanning was not asked about Holden's ejection by media members after the game. It's unclear whether or not the fifth-year wideout will be be levied any type of punishment.

While Oregon ultimately overcame the loss of one of its top pass catchers, behavior like Holden's and the ensuing ejection could have easily had much more of an impact on the Ducks' offense than it did.

Oregon, Now No. 2 in the AP Top 25, is in the driver's seat of the Big Ten championship race with the narrow home win over Ohio Sate (No. 4). Oregon will face Purdue on the road in Week 8 before taking on No. 22 Illinois at home.
