When it comes to mid-sized luxury SUVs, you really are spoiled for choice these days. A solid option is the 2025 Acura MDX, a spacious, tech-packed vehicle from this Japanese automaker.

2025 Acura MDX lease offer - October

You can currently lease a 2025 MDX SH-AWD 10-Speed Automatic—the standard trim with the all-wheel-drive option—for $559 per month. The lease runs for 36 months, with $4,999 due at signing. This includes the down payment, and no security deposit is required, though title, license, and documentary service fees will increase the cost.

The offer may also be influenced by factors such as your credit score, income, and other outstanding financial commitments. Acura's MDX lease offer runs until October 31, so if you're interested, you should visit a dealership by Halloween—lest the non-discounted price give you a bit of a fright.

Quick thoughts on the 2025 Acura MDX

The 2025 Acura MDX is generally considered one of the better choices in the current luxury SUV market. Its infotainment system has received a welcome update, and it is frequently praised for its roomy interior. However, there are a few downsides. Despite having a 3.5-liter V6 under the hood, the standard powertrain can feel a bit underwhelming compared to competitors. It’s definitely not threatening the Ford Explorer’s “Fastest mid-sized SUV under $60k” title. Its poor fuel economy has also received criticism.

    2025 Acura MDX trim options

The 2025 Acura MDX has a whopping six trims, with several of these trims also having their own variants. The base model, aptly titled the “MDX,” will set you back $50,900 for the front-wheel-drive version and $53,100 if you opt for all-wheel drive. Despite being the base model, it still comes with features like a power liftgate.

As its name suggests, the “Technology Package” adds several tech-based features and is priced at $56,300 for the FWD version ($58,500 for AWD). All trims beyond this come with AWD as standard and include the A-Spec Package for $61,500, the Advance Package for $66,000, the A-Spec Advance for $68,000, and the top-end Type S Advance for $74,950.

    Competition to consider

The MDX faces a lot of competition. The mid-sized, three-row, premium, and luxury SUV market is absolutely booming at the moment. Alternatives include the Infiniti QX60, Audi Q7, BMW X5, Lexus RX, Volvo XC90, Lincoln Aviator, and Mercedes-Benz GLS.The MDX does have a lower starting price than many of these alternatives. Starting at just over $50,000, the Japanese brand overlaps with the top-end price brackets of the Ford Explorer, Kia Telluride, and Chevy Traverse. In terms of actual luxury, it falls firmly between the “premium” brands listed here and the full-on luxury brands like Mercedes and Audi.

    Final thoughts

The Acura MDX really struggles to stand out in what might be the most crowded automotive segment at the moment. There's also the value proposition, with more established luxury brands carrying more prestige and arguably higher quality than the upmarket Honda. So, a solid lease deal may be exactly what the luxury SUV needs.

You can snag the MDX for just over $550 per month, which is roughly what you'll pay for a Toyota Sienna. However, there are also Audis, Volvos, and even Lucids hovering around this price point, so the competition is very much still there. And if you don't care about the badge but still want a good-quality, three-row SUV, the Telluride is significantly cheaper.
