The Dallas Cowboys are currently a sinking ship. They've been unable to execute well following an incredible regular season just last year. They're on pace to face to 3-3 on the season as they currently trail the Detroit Lions 37-9 in the third quarter.

The worst part about their current contest? It's in Arlington, TX, on their home field. They're getting blown out in Jerry's world.

Sure, the Lions are an incredible team and should be in the running to make a deep playoff run once again. However, if the Cowboys want to be taken seriously as a contender, this is a game they've got to play closely, at minimum.

Following last season, Dallas entered this season with expectations, and rightfully so. They went 12-5 and looked like a really solid squad in the regular season. They took a brutal loss to the Green Bay Packers in the playoffs, though.

Since the playoff loss, the Cowboys have struggled on their home field. They lost their first two games of the season at AT&T Stadium and are set to lose their third straight.

Just today alone, Cowboys quarterback Dad Prescott has thrown a red zone interception. The Lions also scored on a 54-yard flea flicker to give themselves a two-score lead.

Needless to say, the Cowboys are being embarrassed on their home field. This makes sense, as their last two wins were close contests against not-so-great teams.

Media and fans seem to believe it's time for a change in Dallas with a struggling Cowboys squad.

While the general reaction to the blowout loss is a fan base ready to kick off a rebuild -- winning cures all. If the Cowboys take this loss and turn things around, Mike McCarthy and his squad can save their reputation to an extent for the time being, and slightly tweak the narrative surrounding them.
