Dana White Announces Big Fights: Belal Muhammad vs Shavkat Rakhmonov

Dana White and the UFC officials have decided that the UFC 310 event will be the last Pay-per-view event of the UFC in 2024. On Saturday, Dana revealed to everyone that UFC 310 will have two major title fights on 14/12/2013 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Belal Muhammad is scheduled to fight Shavkat Rakhmonov in the main event of UFC 310. The Underdog will make his first title defense against the famous Uzbak fighter. The co-main event will see the fight between Heavyweight champions Alexandre Pantoja and Asakura. The fight will be for the flyweight title against Kai Asakura, the No.1 Contender.

Belal Muhammad vs Rakhmonov

Belal Muhammad defeated Leon Edwards to win the Welterweight Title and become the best in his division. Muhammad had not lost a single fight for a long time before the title shot and came out of the 10 Octagon victorious. He climbed the ladder after waiting for ten years for the title shot. Belal Muhammad has fought 27 fights, lost three, and won 24 fights.

If we analyze Shavkat Rakhmonov, he is still an undefeated fighter. He has a striking style, which has caused him to knock out a lot of opponents brutally. He has fought 18 fights; he won all of them, and none was a draw. On the other hand, Rakhmonov, an 18-0 undefeated welterweight, is a finisher, and all his opponents have not lasted till the final bell. He has only advanced to the third round twice in his playing career. But now he targets Belal Muhammad and the UFC Welterweight Championship.

Co-main Event

Alexandre Pantoja is also the title holder of his division and is set to fight in the UFC 310 Co-main event. Pantoja has fought two times since securing the title, and this will be his third defense after defeating Steve Erceg in May at UFC 301. Asakura is a tough opponent because he has only lost four fights in his professional career.

He has knocked out 13 fighters out of 21 wins in 25 fights. The UFC had to allow the contender because of his impressive victories against fighters like Kyoji Horiguchi, Manel Kape, and Juan Archuleta while competing in Japan’s RIZIN.

Final Thoughts

The two famous brothers of the UFC, Nate Diaz and Nick Diaz, are famous for their striking. Nate continued, but Nick was out of the Octagon for a long time. Nick’s return has been announced, and he’ll be showing up in UFC 310. He will face Vicente Luque after their original fight in August was postponed. Also, Ciryl Gane will take on Alexander Volkanovski in an important heavyweight battle.

Conversely, Belal Muhammad seemed hesitant to face the undefeated Shavkat Rakhmonov when he was told about the No.1 contender.
