Usher Admits He Would Never Allow His Kids to Live with Diddy

In a past interview, Usher revealed that he’d never allow his kids to stay with Diddy. 

In the midst of Diddy’s arrest for racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking charges, an older video of Usher remembering his time at Comb’s ‘Puffy Flavor Camp’ has come back to light. 

Usher is now 45, and was sent to stay for one year with Combs in 1994 by manager LA Reid when Usher was only 14 years of age.

In 2016, Usher appeared on 'The Howard Stern Show' and reflected on his time when he spent one year at Comb’s 'Puffy Flavor Camp.' Usher shared what went on with Howard, and recalled that he got an opportunity to see a few things. He didn’t know if he could indulge and even comprehend what he was looking at.

He confessed, ‘It was wild and crazy,’ according to Daily Mail.

The singer claimed that there were some curious things that took place and he did not understand it. 

But, when Stern asked if he’d send his kids to the 'Puffy Flavor Camp,' Usher replied, “Hell no!”

LA Reid, Usher’s mentor, had concerns about sending him to Puffy Flavor Camp

LA Reid claimed in his memoir that he sent Usher to stay with Diddy, and feared that it was “irresponsible” of him to “turn” the boy over ‘to the wildest party man in the country.’

Usher’s mentor remembered asking Diddy, ‘Will you take him and teach him some of your swagger?’

Reid continued by saying that he was turning Usher over to the wildest party man in the country during an age when he still had to get his mom's permission; however, he went to NY for almost one year.

Reid said he did not know whether he was having an epiphany or being irresponsible, before he added that he would never be certain that flavor camp worked until Usher returned.

Reid later on clarified that he got permission from Jonetta Patton, Usher’s mom, as he sent him to the camp.
