Jim Harbaugh headed to the locker room during Sunday’s matchup between the Los Angeles Chargers and the Denver Broncos, sparking concerns about his health.

Harbaugh went to the blue tent on the sideline before retreating to the locker room. Following the incident, the Chargers' official account posted an injury notification on their head coach.

"Injury update: HC Jim Harbaugh (illness) is questionable to return," the message said. "DC Jesse Minter is serving as interim HC."

Harbaugh returned to the sideline in the first half and spoke after the game about what he was dealing with.

"It's called an atrial flutter," Harbaugh said in his postgame press conference. "I got into an episode today with it. Doctors checked me out, and it got back into normal rhythm. ... I could tell there were some irregular beats. I am qualified to talk about it."

An atrial flutter is a type of abnormal heart rhythm that happens when the upper chambers of the heart beat too fast or irregularly. Instead of normal, coordinated beats, the atria beat in a rapid, fluttering pattern.

Harbaugh said he suffered a similar episode after a Monday Night Football game in 2012.

    "2-0 with arrhythmias," Harbaugh joked.

Harbaugh's Chargers moved to 3-2 with the win and will face off against the Arizona Cardinals next week.
