The Dallas Cowboys struggles continued during Week 6 of the NFL Season. They entered the game with a 3-2 record, but the Cowboys fell to the Detroit Lions in a 47-9 blowout at AT&T Stadium.

It was a rough outing in general for the Cowboys as they were held without a touchdown and went into halftime trailing 27-6.

Dak Prescott threw for just 178 yards with a pair of interceptions, and backup Cooper Rush threw another interception.

Now, the Cowboys are just half a game ahead of the New York Giants at the bottom of the NFC East standings, and Mike McCarthy's future with the organization remains a discussion point.

After the loss, fans called for one name to replace McCarthy as the next Cowboys coach: Bill Belichick.

Senior NFL insider Josina Anderson started some fun by posting a video of Belichick using binoculars.

The caption read, "Bill Belichick keeping an eye on the #Cowboys …"

Others shared the same sentiment about Belichick coming to Dallas.

"Is Bill Belichick the Head Coach of the Dallas Cowboys next year? That team should be legit…" a fan wrote on X.

"Cowboys need Belichick so bad," said another.

"Bill Belichick will be the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys by Wednesday morning," predicted another.

"Was going to eventually post that Bill Belichick would be the coach of next year’s Cowboys, but he might have the job sooner than that at this rate," wrote another user on X.

"When does Bill Belichick get hired by the Dallas Cowboys?" said another.

The Belichick-Cowboys posts kept on coming.

"The Detroit Lions are humiliating the Dallas Cowboys right now. If this was not a professional game, I would call it bad sportsmanship and disrespectful. Jerry Jones needs to suck it up and give Bill Belichick a call ASAP," wrote a fan on X.

To make the loss sting more, Howard Eskin mentioned this was tied for the 5th-worst loss in franchise history.

As of now, McCarthy is the head coach, although changes could be coming if the Cowboys don't turn it around quickly. McCarthy led the Cowboys to three straight 12-5 seasons, but they have been unable to make the NFC Championship game in any of those postseason runs.

The Cowboys have a bye in Week 7 before facing the San Francisco 49ers on the road in Week 8, so it will be interesting to see if Jerry Jones decides to make a change.
