There might not be anything that frustrates a fan more than seeing their favorite team lose due to what they believe is a questionable call from the officials. This weekend was filled with such controversy.

In a game between the Colorado Buffaloes and the Kansas State Wildcats, there was a controversial play just before the end of the game. Colorado was trailing by three points with less than 1:30 left on the clock and had a fourth-and-five. Shedeur Sanders threw a pass down the sidelines to wide receiver Will Sheppard. It seemed like Keenan Garber made contact with Sheppard before the ball arrived, but the referees didn't throw a flag. This led to Colorado turning the ball over on downs and ultimately losing the game.

Fox Sports' Joel Klatt tweeted that he thinks college football officiating is "really bad." To fix the problem, he proposes having one governing body over officials.

"Generally speaking, the officiating in CFB is really bad," Klatt tweeted. "(There is) very little consistency across the board. Having a national officiating body rather than each conference having its own would be a good start to fixing the problem."

Klatt has noticed multiple officiating issues this season. He tweeted about several plays he had issues with, such as missed pass interference in the USC Trojans vs. Penn State Nittany Lions game and, in his opinion, a bad offensive pass interference call in the Ohio State Buckeyes vs. Oregon Ducks game.

The NCAA has not indicated whether they would make that shift or if the conferences would be open to it. However, Klatt believes that this could ultimately be the solution to correct this issue.
